About the Grower
These walnuts are grown and processed by Omega Walnuts, a family-owned farm in the South West of Western Australia, with orchards in Manjimup and Nannup. Omega is one of Australia’s largest walnut farms — and the only commercial grower and processor in WA.
The Nannup orchard is fully certified organic, and all certified organic kernels are shelled and packed in their on-site processing facility, designed to reduce damage to the walnut’s thin pellicle (skin) and preserve flavour and nutrition. Omega’s approach to walnut farming and post-harvest handling is low-waste, low-input, and built around long-term soil health.
Nutrition & Storage
Walnuts are an excellent source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a plant-based omega-3 fatty acid, and are naturally high in antioxidants and fibre. They contain no cholesterol, and are suitable for raw, roasted, or baking use.
Store in a cool, dark, airtight container, ideally in the fridge or freezer for long-term storage.
Culinary Uses
- Sprinkle on oats, yoghurt, or salads
- Blend into dips and nut butters
- Bake into cakes, cookies, banana bread
- Add crunch to grain bowls and pastas
