This organic gold linseed is grown and processed by Waltanna Farms in south-west Victoria. A lighter-coloured linseed with a milder flavour, suited to baking, cereals and everyday use.

About linseed

Linseed, also known as flaxseed, is a small oilseed used in baking and cooking. It can be used whole or ground depending on the application, with whole seeds adding texture and ground linseed used where a finer consistency is required.

Gold linseed is a lighter-coloured variety of the same plant. It behaves in the same way as brown linseed but has a milder flavour and is often used where a lighter appearance is preferred.

About the grower

This linseed is grown and processed at Waltanna Farms, a fifth-generation family farm located near Hamilton in south-west Victoria. The farm specialises in the production of linseed alongside a broader range of crops.

Waltanna grows, cleans and processes linseed on or near the farm, allowing them to produce whole seed, meal and oil from their own crops.
