White chickpeas are also known as "Kabuli" chickpeas as they are thought to come from Kabul, Afghanistan when it was first introduced to India and later to Africa. They are the one most commonly thought of when Australians think of Chickpeas.
Chickpeas can be sprouted or cooked and eaten cold in salads, or added to soups, stews or curries, made into hummus, or ground and shaped into balls and fried as falafel or cooked with rice or other foods.
Please Note: This batch of Chickpeas got a little bit too much rain just before harvest and had irregular sprouting (some sprouted on the plant as the others were ready to harvest). This means they can look a little rough (they have been tested for mould and yeasts and they got the all clear). We have cooked them up and they are delicious.

Our Bags are made from brown recycled paper and have a 100% natural corn-based compostable biofilm. All you need to do is pop off the label before you put it in your compost (We are looking for a cost-effective compostable solution to our labels). These bags are a good short term but are not completely airtight. When you get your goodies home, be sure to pop your products into a jar and store them in a cool, dry place out of sunlight. You can reuse these bags around the house as a short-term solution to keep things dry and reduce air contact.
