Also called flaxseeds, these linseeds, have a fresh nutty, flavour. A fantastic egg replacer/thickener in vegan baking.
It is best to crack or grind linseeds before using, or they can pass through the body undigested. Be mindful to only crack what you are going to use, as the Omega 3 fatty acids can oxidise if left unprotected by the seed's hard shell.
To crack them, use a rolling pin, mortar & pestle, coffee grinder or blender. Linseeds can be ground with almonds and sunflower seeds to make fresh LSA. added to smoothies, or porridge. It is also a wonderful addition to muffins and biscuits, or added to bread mixes with other grains, like cracked rye, spelt or wheat.

Our Bags are made from brown recycled paper and have a 100% natural corn-based compostable biofilm. All you need to do is pop off the label before you put it in your compost (We are looking for a cost-effective compostable solution to our labels). These bags are a good short term but are not completely airtight. When you get your goodies home, be sure to pop your products into a jar and store them in a cool, dry place out of sunlight. You can reuse these bags around the house as a short-term solution to keep things dry and reduce air contact.
