About the Producer
Casarosa Almonds is a third-generation family farm in the Riverland region of South Australia. Started by Dennis and Pam Casaretto in the 1990s and now run by their son Jarrad, the farm grows, processes, and packages all its own almonds using pesticide-free, permaculture-informed practices.
Their almond orchard is Bee Friendly Farming-certified, and their facility only handles almonds — meaning every jar is made in an allergy-safe environment, free from traces of other nuts or allergens. From harvest to hulling, roasting to milling, every stage is handled on-site to ensure freshness, traceability, and quality.

What is Pure Almond Butter?
Pure almond butter is made by grinding a mix of roasted almond varieties to get a perfectly smooth paste — with no additives, thickeners, or oils. Casarosa’s version is made from almonds roasted low and slow to release natural oils, then cold-milled for a smooth, pourable consistency. It’s rich, nutty, and naturally sweet — with zero added sugar.

FAQs
Is this almond butter roasted or raw?
It’s made from almonds that have been lightly roasted to enhance flavour and help release natural oils.
Does it separate?
Yes — like all nut butters that don't use additives, natural separation is normal. Just stir before use to reincorporate the oils.
Is the almond butter organic?
No it isn't. The almonds are grown using pesticide-free, low-intervention practices, but they are not certified organic. The Casaretto family prioritises sustainability, which includes reduced water use, bee health, soil regeneration and minimal inputs.
How should I store it?
Keep in a cool, dark place. Refrigeration after opening is recommended for long-term freshness, especially in warmer months.
Is the facility allergen-free?
The processing facility only handles almonds. It is free from peanuts and other tree nuts, and glutinous thickeners making it ideal for sensitive households.
